What is Microsoft Excel?
If you have been under a rock for the last 2 decades let me explain. Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet software that was created from the Microsoft company. The same company that created Windows. There are two current versions. Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft Excel 365. The 365 version is the newest installment of Microsoft Office Online. Like a lot of other software companies, Microsoft has open the floodgates and allowed uagse of their applications with online cloud capability. Companies like Adobe, Anti-Virus and many more have began to move their vintage CD-ROMs into online downloads allowing online cloud storage. Excel is a spreadsheet software with many capabilities. It can be used to create graphs, charts, tables and letters. It is similar to Apple Numbers, Google Sheets, and Open Office Calc.
Why Should I use Microsoft Excel?
Now that everyone has an understanding of Microsoft Excel. We must now answer why should we use it? That can be answered many different ways. Excel has so many useful applications that it can be personalized to each user. It can be a time saver for me. In this software there is the ability to automatic answers. In Microsoft Excel, you can create formulas to tell the software how to find the answer you need. For example. If you have a file of a table that lays out all of your sales. You can put a formula that says the answer for column C equals Column A, which is quanity, multiplied by Column B, which is price. This formula will automatically put the answer of subtotal in that cell. You do not have to manually input the math. Excel will do the math for you! Where was this when I was in math class??
